Our new library management system will be introduced in the new year: WorldShare Management Services WMS.
The system controls most of the library's relevant processes such as media acquisition, cataloging, lending and research.
The changeover was necessary due to a change of data format in the transnational union catalog, but also because of the age and limited functionality of the previous local library system. The new software supports the library team in particular with e-resource management.
For our users a new discovery system with integrated loan accounts is available. Here you can conduct cross-media research and have access to the books in our library collection as well as to licensed eBooks, eJournals and databases.
On January 1, the library catalog will be unavailable due to the system change. Some of the library's intranet services may be temporarily unavailable at the beginning of January due to the changeover.
