In close co-operation with the department of Experimental Thermal Fluid Dynamics(16) the following projects aiming on the generation of experimental data for two-phase flows suitable for CFD code qualification were done:

- Hot leg model of a Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR)(19)

- Pressurized Thermal Shock (PTS) in case of Emergency Core Cooling in a PWR(21)
- Experiments on boiling processes in pressurized water reactors(22)
- Experiments related to the transport, deposition and re-suspension of aerosol particles
In addition there was a close cooperation with the department of Reactor Safety(23) of the Institute of Resource Ecology(24) in the field of CFD code development regarding:
- the analyses of boron dilution transients(25) and
- the coupling of CFD with the reactor core model DYN3D.
