| Description | Ultrastrong laser flashes of the high-power laser DRACO at the HZDR enter the vacuum chamber and fire on a material. The force of the light pulse rips the electrons apart from the atoms, creating a plasma with an energy of several hundred megaelectronvolts - over a distance of a few millimeters. |
