Freiberg.Science.City initiative launched
Launch of the Freiberg.Science.City initiative at the Long Night of Science and Industry on May 25, 2024

Freiberg.Science.City is an initiative by people from Freiberg's science, industry and city for people from science, industry, the city and the world. Freiberg has a future as a science location and needs people who will continue to shape this future. We are committed to the future! And that is why we are moving closer together, becoming active together and shaping a cosmopolitan, sustainable and future-proof Freiberg. The initiative was launched at the Long Night of Science and Industry in Freiberg on May 25, 2024.
"The HIF is one of the initiators and thus an important part of Freiberg.Science.City. The aim is to significantly strengthen Freiberg's visibility as an attractive and innovative university and research location both internally and externally by bundling existing initiatives and networks, supplementing them with new ideas and bringing them together programmatically. Only in this way will our research and business location succeed in attracting the specialists of tomorrow to our location." - summarizes the management of the institute (Prof. Dr. Jens Gutzmer and Dr. Simone Raatz) the participation of the HIF in the initiative.
The HIF is part of Freiberg.Science.City and made it visible for the first time at the Long Night of Science and Industry in Freiberg.
