PhD Student (f/m/d) Ion Transport in 2D Polymer-Based Monolayers and Heterostructures

The Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS) is a German-Polish research center for data-intensive digital systems research.

The Institute CASUS is looking for a PhD Student (f/m/d) Ion Transport in 2D Polymer-Based Monolayers and Heterostructures, subject to the approval of the project.

Your tasks

  • Performing large-scale simulation for 2D materials
  • Collaborating with peers including experimental project partners
  • Publishing results in academic and peer-reviewed journals
  • Presenting results at scientific meetings

Your profile

  • Completed university studies (Master) in the field of computer science, physics, or chemistry or related field
  • Good knowledge of electronic structure methods for 2D materials and of numerical methods
  • Experience with Linux, Git and related tools as well with high-performance computing
  • Strong motivation to work in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English
