Student practical training / Student Assistant / Volunteer internship / Research Assistant

Do you want to improve your software skills? And immerse yourself in the world of large-scale research facilities?
Then you've come to the right place.
Your tasks will include creating software components for controlling large-scale equipment and experimental machines.
Develop, test and commission your code on existing research infrastructure.
You will be involved in all phases of the development process from conception and design to visualization and actively support the software specification and documentation.

Requirements

Advanced study in information technology/computer science or comparable field
Knowledge of at least one relevant language (C++, Python)
Experience in the development process and cross-platform software systems
Confident handling of typical technologies in the software development process (e.g. Git, GitLab), as well as database modeling are an advantage.
